30 women, beach views, cocktails a-plenty, 3 shops and 48 hours to just scrap- perfect!!
Meredith, Sue and Amanda did an amazing job organising the fuss free weekend and the food was DELICIOUS!! Yummiest sticky date pudding ever! :) Thank you so much girls...I can't wait till the April retreat!
The saddest part of the weekend (apart from it ending) was Ali waking up sick Saturday morning and needing to go home- I was really looking forward to a repeat of the "tote dance".
It was wonderful spending time with Tatum, although I did ban her from talking to me for 5 minutes after tears and tears of laughter!! :) I was lucky to spend time chatting with Lou- she is soooo amazingly creative! and she bought along a copy of Sommerset memories to checkout with her article- wow! :)
Over the weekend I created 11 layouts and a card :) and overall I'm very happy with everything I created. I was fantastic to just sit in a pile of mess and pull bits and pieces for here, there and everywhere to scrap with.
Moving was my first layout for the weekend. Another beautiful curiouser photo, some paint and glimmermist, basic grey pp's, doiley's from SweetVintage78 and the beginning of my weekend obsession with Tim Holtz tissue tape :)
Loved & adored is a gorgeous photo of Sam with teeny, tiny Mackenzie, some more paint and glimmermist and I finally delved into my Crate Paper Restoration stash. The alphas (which I love love LOVE!) are Studio Calico and the random white circles are some stationary Lou deposited on the desk and I very quickly used :) The Embossed chipboard is Scrapmatts and there is a little bit of Tim Holtz tape tucked in the bottom left corner.
Little Creatures Ale House is a photo of my friend Ali and I on our visit to Melbourne in August, the pizza with chorizo, sweet corn and fetta was delish!! We came across the ale house whilst wandering down Brunswick street, and man were we glad that we stopped in for a mid afternoon beverage! Super cool place, so much to look at and take in :) Also helps that the beer is yummo! More Crate paper and lots of random embellies close at hand, including SweetVintage78 doiley, Scrapmatts Chipboard and Prima flowers. I also used a bit of Crafty notions spray, which is fantastic!! The colours are very rich, solid and sparkley.
Be Brave & Jump is a layout of my little sister Jess, reminding her to have a go and that we know she will be fabulous at whatever she set her heart out to do. The gorgeous photo is by Danielle @ Curiouser (I dont know what I'm going to do when I finish scrapping them all...start again I suppose!! lol!) and I had my first play with Sassafrass' Indie Girl. I love the Hambley birdcage sticker and Tatum lent a hand with the string twirling (she very good at that! lol!) The tag has been embossed and glimmermisted over the top- just to show Tatum that it was VERY important that she bought her heat gun along with her!! :)
Ok, I think I'll leave it there, blogger has been a real pain tonight. Hopefully back to tomorrow to share some more after I've done some of the housework...ick!
Cheers,
Loz xox
