Nana & I July 1986
29.9.1921-28.6.2008
Two years ago today my Nana passed away.
She was an amazing, courageous woman who succeeded in so much at life and loved us all so very very much.

A Wishlist

My Mumma, bless her cotton socks, wants to know what I want for my birthday in a few weeks. So I figured I would blog about it and then you can all know what I want :)
  • Ikea Vouchers- I am in serious need of some organisation and storage...far too many books and scrapbooking mess that needs a home and I think a couple of Billy bookshelves with doors will work brilliantly with a half expedit to hold all the bigger stuff :)

  • One of these

Lots of very cool versions of these babies here too :)
  • This super cool headband found here,

  •  And I really need these for my collection :) :)

Alright that's enough of my dreaming, I'll be very happy to have dinner at Parisis with my mum and dad (they live in Port Lincoln and I don't get to see them very much) and an early night on my birthday :)

Whats on your birthday wishlist???

    Sweet Disposition

I love the song Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap, in fact I love everything by The Temper Trap and can't wait to go to their concert next month,

but back to the point... I love the lyrics of Sweet Disposition and have been waiting for a layout to use them as journalling...

     a moment
    a love
    a dream
    a loud
     a kiss
    a cry
    a moment
    a love
More Sass, the shipping tags are the last from the goody bag Lou gave us at the E2C retreat (I'm really going to have to buy some...I wonder if officeworks sell them??) The journalling spots are Jenni Bowlin, the red flower is Prima and the butterfly is of course a Martha Stewart monarch butterfly punch.

I've been working on a layout for the E2C scavenger hunt challenge...its hard!!! But I should be back within the next couple of days to share...in the meantime I have a 10:30pm game of netball tonight- so wish us luck!!!

    She makes me laugh

Alright time to share some of what I've been up to...

So many fabulous stories, too many glasses of strawberry champage
and a connection that blows me away.
My first 'proper' grown up friend and I love her to absolute bits!
I finally delved into my rather large stash of Sassafrass Lass, added some paint and cut the birdie out of the piece of Rough de Garance pp we received in our goodie bags at the E2C retreat. I coloured the maya road chipboard butterflies with gold pen and spritz with some glimmermist to give them lots of sparkle.Finished off with an entire packet of Prima Raja flower centres (I got a little carried away!! lol!!) and a couple of sass brads.

    Happy Monday!

    Tomorrow When the War Began

I read the John Marsden series Tomorrow When the War Began numerous times when I was growing up and absolutely LOVED them. I'm very excited to see that they've been made into a movie and I think the trailer looks very good...I can't wait till September when the movie is released!

I will be back tomorrow with some scrapping shares, I might even make an attempt to scrap...I do need to do something with the 200 meters of twine I bought last weekend!! :)

    I'm baaaaaack :)

Thanks to my very lovely landlord/brother in law I have a working computer again...wooohooo!!!
Its taken me a couple of days to catchup on everything in the internet world, but as of now I shall be back to regular programming and back sharing some of the bits I've created in my hiatus :)

Last weekend I was very lucky to fly out to Brisbane with Tatum to spend the weekend at the Scrapbooking and papercraft expo. It was an AMAZING weekend, I met some gorgeous new people, took classes with point, shoot and playNgaire and Jill, did pleeeeenty of shopping and spent some time out recharging my rather low batteries.

I love this dodgy self-timer photo we took Saturday night before dinner, it really was the most amazing weekend :)

I am also very very excited about the spot I have booked at Camp Mojo, a retreat in the Hunter Valley in July next year! With a road trip there with Tatum and Ali and so many talented girls also attending its going to be a fabulous adventure... although its gives me a giggle that I will have 2 birthdays before we go!! Sounds like a good 25th birthday present to me :)

I'll be back soon with some scrapping shares but in the meantime have a lovely weekend,
    xx Loz
