In a funk...

Just recently I have been in a bit of a funk...no real reason, and honestly its something that happens to me quite often but I am lucky enough to have the ability to work thorough it until the sun shines again... but anyway I wanted to share with you a blog that always makes me smile, THXTHXTHX

Leah posts daily thankyou notes, a fantastic reminder to be grateful for all the everyday things we are lucky to have, and that makes me smile :)

Greenday

I've been waiting to share this layout until Tatum's awesome music article came out in Scrapbook Creations. We went to the concert together (with her husband "The Landlord") in december last year, and it was hands-down the BEST concert I have ever been too, every time I think back to the night I smile and want to relive it, seriously awesome!! :)

The background from this one came from Tatum, it was her first attempt before she changed plans. The photos also came off of Tatum's camera- from the moment Greeday came on stage we lost each other...she went right to the front and I stayed about 10 people back..still plenty close enough :)

5th December 2009

Tatum, Woody and I went to see Greenday at the Entertainment Centre.

First we had chicken parmi's and beers for tea at the Brompton Hotel.

Then pushed our way to (almost) the front of the mosh pit. 

It was hands down the BEST concert I have ever been too- an UNBELIEVABLE night!!!

I had lots of fun creating a grungy mess on this one, I scratched at the photos with my poker and burnt them with my new heat gun (man I love that piece of equpitment...sooo much fun!!) I had a go at embossing and added some ink and misting too :) Oh and I matted the photos as per Georgia's advice!! :)

All my layouts at the moment have some twine on them because I am desperately trying to justify my purchase at the expo, and then I found these last night and fell head over heels in love...I do need more string don't I?? LOL!!

Tonight I'm hoping to get a bit more scrapping done, The Boxx are having a cybercrop, so I'm hoping for some challenges to give me an inspiration push...I also really need to start my Masters entry, I have plenty of ideas floating around but yet to stick anything down...

All the pattern paper is American Crafts Dear Lizzie on this one, along with some cosmo-cricket letters, a prima vine and the gorgeous chipboard is from Scrapmatts. Their stuff rocks...I bought up big at the convention and I could've easily bought more!!!

I have a couple more layouts to share, but that might not be until next week...I want to get my hands on the little sisters camera in the hope it takes better photos than mine :)
