Day 7- 30 Days of Me

Day 7 – Your dream wedding

Today's task has really had me thinking... and I have taken the word dream very literal, so here comes my over the top, wonderful wedding...
Inspiration Board- Lots of colour, but matched with whites, greys and blacks to blend it all together. LOVE the idea of bridesmaids (my sisters of course) wearing different dress styles made from the same material and then all wearing different colourful shoes :)
Invites- Big fan of the graphic/modern invite

I adore the cranes as a backdrop for the vows or reception table.
Food created by Bill Granger for the event ,
The wedding cake would have to be super delicious and if the wedding was here in Adelaide I would buy it from Sugar and Spice cakes in memory of my Nana who always bought our special cakes from there.
Flowers like these...
And super cute bonbonniere, something handmade of course!
And finally the dress....Vera Wang of course!!

Oh and because its a dream wedding...the night must end with fireworks :)
Right that was hard work!! and I was only playing around!
Back to the real world,

Day 6-30 days of Me

Day 6 – A photo of an animal you’d love to keep as a pet

On the practical/sensible side I would love to have a border collie, I think they are one of the most beautiful dogs and growing up my Godparents had several border collies whom I just adored.
On the totally dream/fantasy side I would love love LOVE to have an orangutan family- totally over the top I know, but you know...in my dreams :)

And in the meantime we are very lucky to have the super gorgeous Sadie :)

Day 5- 30 days of Me

Day 5 – A photo of yourself two years ago

I'm blogging from Tatums computer today, so my photos are old facebook profile pictures...

The first is taken December '08 at the work christmas 'P' party...ahhh Pirate fun! :)
And the second in February '09 at a wine festival with friends.
I think in the last two years I have changed a little...I know at the moment I'm not happy with the way I look or feel, but that is something that I need to change and change soon!! So it shall be fun to compare photos again in another 2 years time!!
Happy Thursday,

Day 4- 30 days of Me

Day 4 – Your favourite photograph of your best friend

I'm not a huge fan of the term 'best friend', I think that it can be a seriously over used term by girls who have a new bestie every second month and it looses the special meaning Best Friend has.
That being said, I am very blessed to have some amazing people and friends in my life.
My three sisters, Tatum, Jess and Sam. So very lucky to have these girls to share things with, learn things from, to talk with, to love more than I could ever tell them :)

The college girls...Ali, Bec, Kiks and Kirb...we all moved to Adelaide at the same time in 2004 to start uni away from our families. We've all grown up so much together, its a very special thing!
And Miss Mikaela...I feel so very lucky to have her in my life. We met at work and started talking at just the right moment. We have so many things in common it just perfect, it makes me smile being with her :)
 .
I am so very blessed to know so many wonderful people :)

Day 3- 30 days of Me

Day 3 – Your idea of the perfect first date

When I grow old, I want someone who will hold my hand as I walk down the street and smile. That will make me happy.

The perfect first date is not something that I've spent a lot of time thinking about, because honestly at this moment in time I would be just happy to go on a date, perfect or not!! lol!! :) But the perfect date I think that it would need to be with someone who I already know, and feel relaxed with so that there's no awkwardness :) Some yummy dinner, perhaps Thai or Indian something that can be shared and of course accompanied with a bottle of wine. It would be nice to see a band we both liked or go to the movies, something we both want to do... hmmm, really I have no idea, I suppose that any date that I go and come home happy has to be pretty perfect :)

Happy Monday,

Day 2- 30 Days of Me

Day 2 – A photo of something you ate today

My lunch/afternoon tea today after a very late breakfast...fresh Cherries from this mornings visit to the farmers market, some yummy honey biscotti with some of the chocolate dip I made for New Years Eve and a strong black coffee :)

The chocolate dip is really easy and sooo yummy!
Melt 200ml of cream with 200grams of toblerone and a tablespoon of butter. Stir in a splash of Liqueurs (I used Kahlua and I know mum uses some ancient bottle of coffee something), pour it into a serving bowl and put in the fridge for a couple of hours to set. Serve it with fresh fruit, biscotti, marshmallows- anything that takes your fancy!!

And I actually scrapped today!! Wow!! Off to finish of the layout so that I can share it tomorrow afternoon.

How did that happen???

2011...already???

Well, Happy New Year!!!
December flew by so incredibly fast, its kinda hard to remember what happened. I know that I had lots of grand blogging plans, by alas nothing was recorded.
I have no scrapping at all to share, the same layout has been sitting on my desk for weeks... but hopefully I will change that soon, but first I will have to get Tatum (the table hog) to share the table with me!! hehehehe!!

So figure now is a good time to start the 30 Days of Me again...
Day 1 – A photo of yourself and a description of how your day was
Photo taken by the beautiful Lou xxx
After a bit of partying last night I stayed over at my friends house, so began my day fairly early packing up and heading home to be greeted enthusiastically by Tatum's gorgeous kidlets, always makes me feel  pretty special :) The rest of the day was nice and crusiey, a bit of cleaning, some yummy coffee, book reading and a much needed Nana nap. A trip to the baseball and take-away noodles for tea...yuuuuummm!! A lovely start to 2011.

Hope you had a wonderful start to the year too!!
