Fitting
Dear Persevering Girl,
It might not look like it, it might not seem like it, but that BIG THING that you are working on that you ahve been workin on for SO LONG, that you have put our heart and soul and wishes as prayers into, it really is happening. It might be going slower than you want it to go, but it IS HAPPENING.
Be inside of THIS PART of the journey today. What will happen when you get there? To that place you are working to be?
Once you are there, you will look back and wish you would have savored each moment of getting there, because there's so much fabulousness wrapped up inside of every step of difficult, long journeys. So many lessons, so many miracles, so many new and wonderful people that show up exactly when they are supposed to show up. So many tears and hard days. So much FEELING. You can't REALLY feel the good stuff unless you know what the bad stuff feel like. Good days feel SOOOOO beautiful after a string of really hard days, don't they? You sure wouldn't appreciate them as much had you not had that string of difficulty. Life is so cool that way.
Keep going. Don't you DARE give up. You are closer than you know. Look around and see just how far you've come.
You are absolutely phenomenal. And THAT is the truth.
xoxo

I'm beginning to wonder if the Brave Girls emails work slightly like when you read star signs, that you can always find something happening in your life to relate back to it. None the less, todays email has definitely struck a cord with me and I wanted to put it here. It definitely relates to lots of things Jess and I have been talking about lately, both with Green Dandelion and with my own weight loss journey. The last few weeks I have been less than conscientious in that department and it has been bothering me, but at the same time I have been enjoying living my life, especially when I've had some life hurdles too, but I am a strong believer in smiling through the pain (after I've had a bit of a late night cry!! lol!) and greeting life with a positive attitude, it certainly makes life easier in the end.
Today I signed up for Elise's Blog Love e-course. I've spend a bit of time reading and immediately I am learning new things, new directions that I may want to take both this blog, and the green dandelion blog. I have lots of things mulling over in my mind, mostly about my own future and what I want to do with it, so I think that this course may just be the thing to help work some things out.
And finally a Pinterest quotes I found recently...

At a loss...

| Martin Luther King, Jr. via Pinterest |
"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."
- Martin Luther King, Jr.
Amanda posted this quote on Facebook this morning, and then seeing it on pinterest with the photo I knew that I needed to share.
I have been feeling very apprehensive following from yesterdays announcement by Barrack Obama that Osama bin Laden has been killed. I understand the jubilation that American's are feeling, after suffering the awful 9/11 attacks and have many many of their soldiers fight and die fighting against Al Qaeda, but my gut feeling that the 'celebrating' is wrong. I am still trying to form an educated opinion on the entire thing, but different things I have been reading include this article by Pamela Gerloff, which raises many points I agree with but also has many good arguments in the comments, and this website gives a good overall explanation. I think that I am feeling afraid of what can happen next, what/or if there will be an retaliation, but also remembering how incredibly lucky I am.
Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.
xx Lauren
